Our Company History
From James F. Butfington to Larry Katz, the Phasemaster® has had a great history. These pioneers helped create a $19.7 billion industry. Since 1960, they have pushed the brand and its reputation for innovation, quality and service foward.
In 1992, with the advent of the 3PH rotary motor, the barriers to entry eroded, and while the expertise, specialization, and tribal knowledge to solve tough 3 phase problems cannot be replicated, in recent years the market has been flood by cheaper and inferior products around the globe.
Today, new thought-leaders aim to take the Phasemaster® to new heights by embracing AI and technological advances in electronics. We are expanding our base product lines to work with digital controls, as well as, adding add-on components to enhance the life of our old models. Many of which are still in operation after 30 years of being on the field.

Invented by Charles S. Bradley
The rotary converter was invented by Charles S. Bradley in 1888. A typical use for this type of AC/DC converter was for railway electrification, where utility power was supplied as alternating current.
